Don't trust their size chart if you are buying a prom dress on final sale. You will regret it.
"Purchased a $328 prom dress on final sale ( I think all their prom dresses are final sale, possibly) We trusted their size chart, plus the fact that the site stated the model was wearing the actual size we were purchasing. However, When it arrived, it was several inches too small in the hips and bust. At first I thought maybe my daughter gained some weight. I figured I would just have to try and sell it. (couldn't sell it, no one wants it at even half what I paid) When we went shopping for another prom dress elsewhere, we found she had not gained any weight or inches.. and so I took a closer look at the dress and measured it and compared to their size chart. I contacted the company and got the runaround and then had to send pictures of the dress showing measurements, only to be still told there was nothing they would do about it. The company will not work with you, will not refund, or give store credit or even replace with another size. So please, be very careful with purchasing a final sale item from them. "

"Scam site. Took my money 2 weeks ago and still refuses to ship me the items. Have been lied to by multiple CS reps who state my stuff will be overnight shipped. After 2 calls and 5 live chats, I am reporting to the BBB and trying to get my money back from my cc. Avoid these scammers at all costs."
Not worth your time and energy
"The clothes on this site are beautiful, but the site itself is so glitchy it's just too frustrating to use. I attempted to create an account, and when I did, I was asked to verify my email (which i did promptly). The site did not recognize that i verified my account until at least 24 hours later. This problem made it so I was unable to order the product I wanted until I logged in through amazon. Doing this was a little easier. More problems only arose when I received my product. I ordered a bathing suit skirt that was advertised as high-waisted. It barely reached my navel. Going through the steps to receive my return labels were no problem, but when I tried logging in through amazon again to leave my review of the product, the site kept on redirecting me to the login page without actually letting me log in. So unbelievably frustrating."
"THERE IS NO RETURN, EXCHANGE OR STORE CREDIT FOR FINAL SALE ITEMS THAT ARE NOT AS ADVERTISED! I bought 3 dresses the exact same size 2 fit perfectly BUT one was so small that it could not come together in the back where it zips... it could not come together by 4 inches... which lets me know that it was a final sale because the merchant knew that the dress was 3-4 sizes smaller than advertised. Then I am supposed to be stuck with a tiny dress that I can do nothing with but look at. I gave it to my 11 yr old granddaughter in the hopes that one day she may be able to fit it. I will never recommend this store! At these prices there should be some remedy when you're sold something that is NOT AS ADVERTISED!I will put this review out on every clothing blog, because this policy is absolute greed and an excuse to get rid of stuff that Unique Vintage would otherwise not be able to get rid of!"
"I bought two XL size dresses...they are closer to a size 8. I wear a size 12, so I got XL to be on the safe side. These are sale items, so they won't take them back or even give a store credit. This is just wrong! The sizes are sooo far off and the return policies are such a joke...I would advise people not to ever purchase from them. Its such a shame they do business so poorly, because the dresses are actually quite pretty and would be worth keeping if they were a reasonable company."
"WORSE PLACE EVER. I spend $600 on a prom dress. The final due date that it was supposed to be here I called and they said they were still making my dress. They promised it would be here within a week and my prom was that next weekend. So it was pushing it. The day before prom I call in a panic because MY DRESS STILL WASN'T HERE. they said "I'm sorry we haven't even started on the dress." I was livid. I ordered the damn dress two months before my prom. I will NEVER as long as I live order from this website and ill make sure my friends and family know never to order from this joke of a business."
"I have bought MANY things from this store ONLINE and in person in Los Angeles. The customer service on the Phone was wonderful as it was in the store. I had some size issues with their dresses because I am a Small in some of their dresses and a Medium in others and I am quite small in size so this is a bit weird. In any event, they called me back immediately and took care of the situation without missing a beat. I will buy from them forever"

"We placed a large $700 order, and then returned a number of items because a number of them had a strange warehouse smell, and also because of sizing issues. Because we were a few days late for their absurdly short 2-week return period (we had been on vacation much of that time), Unique Vintage refused to issue any refund or credit of any kind. They sent the items back to us -- but CARELESSLY removed of any bags or packaging - they just threw them back in a box. When we contacted Unique Vintage, they were unwilling to work with us. They wrote: "I understand that the items may have been in perfect condition with tags on but it had just been too long. Also with the amount of items returned. We could not accept it back."Most merchants will issue at least some kind of credit - UV would not do anything for us after we missed their 2-week deadline by just a few days. Plus they sent the items back to us packed carelessly. This was a terrible experience - they could not have cared at all if we were happy or not."
"I ordered my prom dress on unique-vintage for senior prom! the measurements were perfect!, the dress came 2 weeks in advance ! and looked exactly how it did in the photo! I would highly recommend! the only people I feel that could complain are those who do not know their own measurements and therefore ordered the wrong size. In addition if the measurements are wrong 2 weeks in advance gives you lots of time to see a tailor!"
"I ordered my prom dress April 2, 2011 for April 23, 2011. The Monday after I ordered the dress I received a message saying the dress I had ordered was a pre-sale dress and the size I had bought was due in March(I was 2 days late) so they were going to send me the next size up. I waited over 2 weeks with no show of any dress. It was being sent from California. I live in Arizona. I finally called April 15 to check where my dress was because for some reason the tracking was not working. When I called the lady said the dress hadn't been sent and the manufacturer of the dress was not answering her call and would call me back. Never did. So the week of my prom my dress still hadn't come and they finally decided to call and tell me my dress has sold out, the week of my prom. But still charged $230 to my card. And the ONLY thing they could do to "help" was to pay for the over night shipping of a new dress. And after I picked a new dress and it arrived the day of, they sent me the wrong size. I would never recommend Unique Vintage to anyone. "
"We've ordered dresses from this site for my daughter's homecoming dresses the past 2 years. Delivery is always prompt. This past year the dress we ordered didn't fit. Amanda at Unique Vintage was extremely helpful, and we were able to order a replacement only 3 days before the event and get it delivered on time."
