Disrespectful and unprofessional

"I ordered from Crown Awards for the first time ever. I wanted to purchase a gift for my mother, and wanted to do something different. I was very excited to order. After placing my order I noticed that there was something wrong in my engraving. I immediately called and was told by a rep that it had already been engraved and that there was nothing I could do. I decided to try again and chatted online with a rep. from the company. This rep told me something completely different, said it was not too late and that she would go ahead and cancel my order. after cancelling my order, she told me someone would be calling me so that I could correct my order and place it again. I saved the transcript from the chat and felt very pleased with the service despite being told something different over the phone. I waited for the call, but never recieved it. Instead, I recieved a confirmation email for a new order. Not only did I not authorize for this company to use my card again, as I was expecting the call, but on top of the purchase not being authorized, I was charged more than what I originally agreed to pay. They added an easel to my plaque which was not even in my original order. This is so disrespectful. How dare they use my card information to place an order without my consent and then take even more of my money without my permission. I will be disputing this illegal charge with my bank. I woildnt be upset if they had actually called me, as I did still want the order, but Im very upset and shocked at the fact that they had the nerve to take my money without even consulting with me first. Then, they didnt even have the audacity to tell me, I had to find out through a confirmation email that I recieved at 7:30 pm after there office had already closed. Never will I ever recommend or order from this company ever again. that is so disrespectful and daring."

Messed up order, and charged me to make it right

"I ordered soccer trophies for our rec league team. They looked fantastic on the website. Well they come in the mail and I excitedly opened the box. To my surprise it was a cheap hunk of plastic with a couple of stickers. I email them to let them know how unsatisfied I was with these trophies and I was told I could exchange them. But here is the kicker! I have to pay to return these hunks of plastic and spend more money out of pocket for their subpar stock. I will never again use this company and I urge everyone else not to waste your money!!!"

Deceptive Description

"Well, I got the awards on schedule, but they weren't what I expected. I ordered acrylic trophies and the listing clearly states that they are engraved. The price was in line with engraved trophies - not cheap. What I received was an acrylic trophy with the logo and text printed on the back, so it would show through the front. I checked a few of the trophies and every single one of them has a scratch of some sort through this printed, adhesive type backing. The flaws are obvious from the front. For what we paid, I'm disgusted. Especially since I had a chat with a rep before ordering and she never corrected me when I asked questions about the engraving. So they either don't know their products or they're dishonest. "

Update: Respect the Vendor that Reaches out and make it right

"UPDATE: 3/30/2018
Since my last posting, Customer Care Supervisor has contacted me and apologized. She is sending me a new plaque at no cost. Therefore, I am changing the rating. I respect the business that listens to the customer and acts quickly to address the concerns.

I recently purchased a few plaques for an award ceremony. One of the plaques had the organization's logo upside down. Come on, how can you make that mistake when you can see the others that are done correct?! It was very apparent if you look at it side by side.

Long story short, they screwed up the award ceremony because I could not present it to the awardees in front of hundreds of audiences with cameras. It would have been an embarrassment to my organization as well as Crown Awards.

I get that people do make mistakes and stuff happens. What really makes me disappointed was the response from Crown Awards customer care rep Amber Thibodeau. When I sent her the picture of the plaques, she apologized but she said she will be sending me a replacement insert.

Are you kidding me? You want me to basically put a sticker over the logo that is upside down! That is tacky. Would you want a plaque with a sticker over it? Is that what I paid for?

I responded to Amber that that is not acceptable. It was bad enough that they ruined the award ceremony and they now expect me to put a sticker or insert over it?!

She responded with a snotty comment. She “apologize” for assuming that I can do the work. She said MOST of her customers have no problem doing it.

First of all, Crown Awards have a serious quality control issues. Second, they need to train their “customer care” better.

I have been Crown Award’s customer for about a year. I had ordered trophies and other awards from them for other organizations. Snotty comments like that is not acceptable. Where is your customer service?

Sam Walton is famously quoted by saying “There is only one boss. The customer. And he can fire everyone in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else.”

Maybe Crown Awards can use that advice if they want to survive in this competitive environment.

They Made It Easy!

"I got on the website just to play and experiment to find out what I wanted. Ended up with a fantastic trophy for my son. It was SO easy and SO fast and when the award showed up it was exactly what I ordered. At first I thought the shipping was a little excessive. Uh, no. The $16 I spent for shipping was well worth it. Crown Awards, you're getting recommendations to everyone that I come in contact with. Amazing service. Amazing products. Good prices. One complaint: I wish they took PayPal!"

Service is Behind the Times

"I ordered 'no engraving' and did not receive blank plates so I can engrave my products at a later time -- even though I paid full price. There is no explanation in checkout that I will not receive plates that are without a doubt part of the product price. When I called and asked for them, I was promptly stuck with the extra shipping cost to have them delivered. No other vendor I work with would be as clueless about modern service expectations as to pass that bill on to me, and yet claim "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed"."

Very disappointing.

"They only offer an opportunity to proof the award if a logo is used. However, I used a logo and they now say that the plaque I chose doesn't allow a logo.... I can't imagine a company shipping product without a final approval. My plaque has typo's and it would be embarrassing to ever show someone.

Could have been better

"I ordered one trophy on Monday Nov 6 and have received it Thursday Nov 9 which was amazing since the expected delivery date was the 13th. However, with closer inspection one part of the column is not centered correctly and the top half of the trophy seems like it was attached slightly farther back that it’s supposed to. If everything was attached correctly there would be absolutely no problems and I would have been completely satisfied. I guess since it was an $18 trophy I shouldn’t expect it to be perfect and expensive looking, but it was only one trophy rather than a bulk order and they could have taken more time and care into the product. "
